Ullswater - The 1st Lake |
||
Ullswater is a stunning lake and a fantastic stretch of water to start the 3 Lakes Challenge on. Starting at Pooley Bridge at the North East end of the Lake we paddle up a short section of the River Eamont, passing under Pooley Bridge itself before entering the Lake. |
||
| The journey on Ullswater is simply stunning often with great views towards Helvellyn and surrounding peaks that stand beyond Glenridding. Starting this leg early in the mornng often provides very light winds allowing a nice easy start to the challenge. | ||
