Outdoor Activity Weekends
Ullswater, Lake District National Park
Our outdoor activity weekends are run in the Lake District in and around the Ullswater area which offers fantastic locations for outdoor activities. We are based at Watermillock which is perfectly located giving us exceptional access to Ullswater with our private lake access complete with toilets and showers and also to locals crags, gorges and mountains for many other activities. Our outdoor centre offers exceptional facilities to our clients with plenty of secure parking, toilets, showers, camping and changing facilities. We also have a brand new meeting room with full kitchen facilities ideal for a coffee and briefing each morning before we head out.
The outdoor activities weekend packages we offer are:
Steep and Deep
- Day 1 is on Ullswater in our open canoes where we take you on a lake journey including a short session on the small River Goldrill that flows into Ullswater at Glenridding. We also visit a lakeside rock face where you will undertake a 50ft abseil. A fantastic barbeque is provided for lunch and the finale of the day is a cliff jump where you have the opportunity to brave a 25ft jump into the depths of Ullswater with the aid of a wetsuit!!!
- Day 2 sees you ascend Pinnacle Ridge on St Sunday Crag which is one of the best Lake District scrambles before traversing around onto Helvellyn and then travelling along the length of Striding Edge to descend back into Glenridding.

Water and More Water
- Day 1 is spent on Ullswater in our single and tandem sea kayaks undertaking a lake explorer journey and then after lunch we take you to Angle Tarn Beck for a ghyll scramble. Ghyll scrambling is a great session full of scrambling over, through, under and around numberous obstacles but always with water being the main ingredient.
- Day 2 again is on Ullswater but exploring a different area of the lake and using open canoes this time. The last activity of the weekend is raft building where you can design the best or worst raft possible in the hope that it will support you and your group to cross the lake.
- Minimum group size 6
- £150 + vat per person

- Train collect service from Penrith Station if required
