The Windermere 21 Challenge
New for 2010! At 3 Challenges we are always looking to add exciting and new challenges to our existing portfolio and this year we have added The Windermere 21. This kayak paddle challenge starts at the North end of the lake by Waterhead and follows the shoreline of the lake in either a clockwise or anti-clockwise route around the lake amounting to 21 miles in distance! You can paddle this at a nice steady pace or set yourself a realistic target time. It is possible in the right conditions to paddle around the edge of the lake in around 6 - 8 hours.
Stopping for icecream can certainly add to the overall time!!! This challenge is run over a full day and we use either our single or tandem sea kayaks (or a combination of both) and these majestic boats will cruise through the water with ease after you only requiring a short training session. We can run this event for between 6 and 24 people (12 single sea kayaks and 6 tandem sea kayaks) . At a starting price of £135+vat we provide:
- Pre-event training
- All equipment including dry tops/bottoms
- Lunch, drinks and snacks all day long
